Laurel says that he had been in close quarters meetings with Jerry Roxas and Jovito Salonga discussing the Plaza Miranda bombing.

"Ganito pala sa usapan nitong mga oposisyon kay Marcos lumalabas nakikita ko ang totoo", Laurel said.

Talking about the details of Plaza Miranda bombing that occurred during a political campaign rally of the Liberal Party that killed 9 people and 95 injured, Laurel stated that according to Jovito Salonga, it was a strategic plan of Joma Sison with the help of mainstream media to put the blame on Marcos. He then later supported his claim as Salonga has stated it in his book published in 1990's. The opposition would later use this event as a thriving force to the masses in rallies but later in the years clear up that they were not sure if it was Marcos behind it.

"Eventually Salonga in his book in the 1990s na sinabi niya sa libro sina Joma Sison ang may gawa nito and it was a brilliant move ang galing talaga tapos supported ng mainstream media Si Marcos yan..", Laurel said.

Laurel also iterated that oligarchs controlled mainstream and news that was given out to the public were tilted with the point of view of American historians and the personal benefits of these oligarchs.

"The Chronicle was then owned by the Sorianos, the Herald was owned by the Lopez. The oligarchs owned the mainstream media", Laurel added.

He then continued with stating the endeavors of Marcos during that time that was beneficial for the country like claims to the Sabah islands, textiles, car manufacturing, closing ties with the US, and a lot more.
