Gilbert Mejia is a Filipino youth who has is aware about the decades long feud between the Aquino family and Marcos family. With all of the varying stories that have been appearing in social media and other conversational circles, Mejia feels like there have been loopholes and is not clear or aware of what indeed is the true story.

History books can only tell so much
For years, in school, it has always been history books that have given answers to the questions surrounding martial law.
But now, many people have come up with their own versions of history and what they feel is the truth that it has gone to the point where some stories seem contradictory with one another.
Mejia only wants is to find out the truth.

Cannot move on from Martial law issue
Although many people, Marcos apologists in particular, have been telling people to move on from the issues of martial law, Mejia cannot because he feels like he does not have the answers he deserves.
He says that the only way for him to move on is to get these answers from the Aquinos and Marcoses.
He says that they should just be honest and publish the truth about the issues between the two families.

He calls on these rivaling families to clear out history as it is the only way for the people to truly move on.

Hindi po ako Pro Aquino or Anti Marcos, ngunit bilang isang kabataang hindi nabuhay sa panahon ng Martial Law o sa panahon na si Pangulong Ferdianand Marcos pa ang pangulo, naguguluhan ako kung sino ba ang nagsasabi ng totoo. Alam kong may mga kabataang katulad ko ma hanggang ngayon ay nagtatanong, ano ba ang katotohanan sa likod ng rehimeng Marcos. Hindi po ang mga history books at mga blogs ang makazasagot ng mga ito.
