Ok lang isupport nyo sya as your President. Pero not to the point na may sasagasaan or ididisrespect,” post ni RR.

I know there’s a lot of color na ginagamit sa breast cancer awareness but mainly pink ribbon talaga. So when I saw that ribbon post, yung breast cancer awareness agad naisip ko.

Ok lang isupport nyo sya as your President. Pero not to the point na may sasagasaan or ididisrespect.

The Pink Ribbon has been the international symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness since it started in the early nineties. IT IS APOLITICAL. It does not have any political affiliation.

To use it all of a sudden as a political symbol for an ambition to grab the highest position in the land is an insult and a disrespect to the women (and some men) who suffered, battled against and courageously fought against breast cancer. It is a mockery to the individuals who are passionate in spreading awareness for breast cancer, which happens to be celebrated this month. Unless one is speaking at a breast cancer awareness forum or unless one has crafted laws that have truly benefitted breast cancer patients and survivors, or unless one is a staunch ally and supporter of the breast cancer awareness causes, then one should stop using such symbol.

Again, the Pink Ribbon is the international symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness. It is not a symbol for political ambitions nor a logo of a political party and surely not a symbol for the "frailties of a woman".
