Sa nakaraang pagdinig ukol sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN, emosyonal na sinabi ni Iloilo Representative at dating Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Janette Garin na “irresponsible” ang pag-uulat ng Kapamilya network kay dating health spokesperson Dr. Lyndon See Suy sa kasagsagan ng Dengvaxia isyu.

"Mas masahol pa sa COVID-19 ang public health misinformation," sabi ni Garin.
Ayon kay Garin, ang ABS-CBN ay source ng “public health misinformation” at ang naging pag-uulat ng mga ito ay isa sa mga dapat umano sisihin sa pagkawala ng tiwala ng mga Pilipino sa bakuna.
"Ano po ang nangyari? Natakot lahat ng nanay; bumalik ang polio, nagkaroon tayo ng outbreak ng measles, nagkaroon tayo ng outbreak ng Japanese encephalitis, dengue [fever]...name it, you have it," sabi ni Garin.
"Now it pains me to hear your [claiming] that you have been helping the Filipino people, [claiming] that you have been helping our country. Tulong po ba yung ibinalik niyo yung lahat ng mga infectious diseases na natanggal na ng ating bansa?" dagdag niya.
Sinagot naman ni ABS-CBN News Chief Ging Reyes ang mga sinabi ni Garin at aniya, tanggap nila na nag-interview sila ng mga non-experts patungkol sa Dengvaxia.
“Your honor, in our pursuit of the truth about Dengvaxia, who sought information from various sources including experts, officials [past] and present of the [DOH]… we tried our best to do our stories in a fair and balanced way. But I do understand and acknowledge your concern about the use of non-experts.
“In fact, I myself received feedback that some of our commentator interviews with non-experts tended to alarm people. As a result of that, I acted on it immediately and we dealt with a commentary as well. We also put an end to stories on Dengvaxia that tended to cause alarm among the general public,” sabi ni Reyes.
